There are several instances in Tanach where specific consecutive words must be written on the same line. These instances generally fall into two categories: Compound words (e.g. בער שבע); and G‑d’s attributes (e.g. חרון אף ה׳). Most contemporary Sifrei Torah, nevi’im, and megilos are written following a computer-generated layout that takes this requirement into account. On the odd chance that there is a line-break between the relevant words, the Sefer is not pasul.
